Adam McGoff, Ewan McCowin, and Nolan Gerdes have been climbing partners over the past three years. Their experience with NOLS and motivation to climb in the world's larger mountain ranges propelled them into creating a formidable team. They have seen multiple summits as a team and climbed significant routes throughout the United States. Each have the goal of taking their skills to the next level and giving back to the climbing community.
Nolan Gerdes is a 22 year old student at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, WY majoring in Civil Engineering and minoring in Outdoor Leadership. When he's not deep in the books, he finds himself searching for the next ice pillar to climb in Cody, WY or planning his next expedition in the mountains. Nolan is a well-established photographer in the Laramie area and seeks to capture the human experience, grand landscapes, and doing the things he loves. He hopes to represent a generation of young climbers and alpinists in a world dominated by the greats of the outdoors.
Adam McGoff is a 25 year old climber, mountaineer, and overall adventurer currently based out of Bloomington, Indiana. When not working on projects at the Red River Gorge, Adam works as a research and development engineer and designs next generation biomedical devices. Adam will be relocating to Fort Collins in July of 2024 where he hopes “To be closer to the action.” His biggest goals are to further his skills in the mountains, continue to bring unparalleled stoke to the outdoors, and maximize the time he gets to live in a tent each year.
Ewan McCowin is a 20 year old climber from Fort Collins, CO. Living in the Front Range of Colorado instilled a deep love of the mountains in him. When he’s not out exploring the next project, Ewan works serving at a steakhouse. He is captivated by the pursuit of his limits, and returning to do it again. His goals are to continue to further his skills in traveling through various sorts of alpine terrain.
